Wearing a Lot of Hats = High Return on Investment

Today, more than at any other time, customers have a lot of choices when it comes to proposal support. One of the areas that makes us different, however, is the fact that we wear a lot of hats. In turn, this translates into Returns on Investment (ROI). Simply put, wearing a lot of hats means that each AWB associate does it all, and that means hiring fewer people and getting a bigger bang for your proposal buck. Here are the core elements of what we offer:


  1. Capture Support. We have tools to help determine go/no go on and know how to "shred" the RFP so that you focus only on what's important. How do you develop win themes and discriminators? It's not as complicated as most people think (hint: it involves figuring out the customer's "win themes"...). We developed a PWIN tool that you will get as part of our service to you.
  2. Compliance Gap Analysis. Our gap analysis matrices help ensure compliance up front to will save time, effort, and headaches down the road. Can you do the work in house or do you need to partner-up? 
  3. Proposal Management. This is our bread and butter, and yes, we "herd the cats," coordinate kickoffs &  stand-up meetings, develop win themes & discriminators, and ensure draft inputs are integrated, and capture data calls, but we do so much more.
  4. Solution Writing and Editing. We have experience working with SMEs and other solution development personnel to capture and develop compliant, engaging proposal narratives. But we also have experience developing solutions where none or few existed before. Need a staffing plan? We can do that. Need a Quality Control Plan, complete with risk mitigation? We've got you covered. 
  5. Color Reviews. We use best practices to ensure an iterative, "agile" approach to proposal development. We have tools and instructions to capture feedback on each stage of the proposal. 
  6. Branding, Graphics, and Callout Boxes. From org charts and support flow diagrams to callout boxes and cover art, we develop branded, engaging, eye-catching visuals that help you sell your solution. 
  7. Desktop Publishing/Formatting. Template design is a critical requirement. Knowing what's compliant, "what works," and how to ensure that graphics and tables and page count are all compliant. We final document is critical--is it compliant; does it read 
  8. White Glove / Pre-Flight. Arguably one of the most stressful times of any proposal is the submission phase. We take the guesswork out of submission by capturing all of the baseline requirements, and doing the painstaking final work of ensuring that no stone is left unturned.

Sometimes we work ourselves out of  the job--and we're okay with that. If we do our jobs right, we may well work ourselves right out of a job. That's because our proposal work can often be reused for multiple proposals--with or without our help. Once you have the core, vetted components of a "next-level" proposal solution and templates, you can often just "do the work yourself" going forward. This has happened more than once, and we're okay with that! Still, we recommend that you bring us back on board, because, proposal work is hard, takes years of experience to "get it right," including writing, editing, working with the Microsoft Word, customizing graphics, and on and on. So, yes, start your own boilerplate library--that's a best practice. But bring us back to help. And that way, you can do what you do best: focus on your customers and their needs.
